It's Official!

We have a walker! She woke up Sunday and decided that she wanted to walk all over the house. She has been walking very short distances for a few weeks but now, look out! This is her today at Little Gym. 

Happy Birthday Katherine Grace!

Our sweet angel turned one today! We love you to the moon and back.  We can't imagine our lives without you. Thank you to all of our family and friends that have supported us and helped us along the way. We couldn't have done it with out you. We love sharing her with all of you and love that you love her as much as we do.

Happy birthday Nene and JJ!

Nene, is Austin's only living grandmother and JJ, is my only living grandmother. They both had birthdays this week. Nene's was Sunday and JJ's was Monday.They are both just the best and Katherine Grace is very lucky to have such wonderful great grandmothers in her life. I hope they each had wonderful birthdays this year. We love you both very much!

Wonderful Weather

We are loving it! We can't wait for spring:)

11 months

Katherine Grace turned 11 months old Tuesday. I think I am in a little bit of shock and denial. I feel like just last week I was rubbing my huge pregnant belly, feeling her move around and we were making arrangements for her arrival. That was this time a year ago! Now, we are making plans for her first birthday and waiting for her to take that amazing first step. Where does the time go?

Here is what she is up to:

-taking steps and walking with our assistance- we are waiting patiently!

-stands independently and will pick things up off of the floor

- puts her play phone up to her ear and says, "hi"

- says: hi, dadda, dog and the "k" sound for her kitty lovie and maybe if I am lucky I will get a mama

- if you ask her where her kitty is, she will go and look for her lovie and get it if she can find it

- knows what "bye- bye" means- she gets excited

-weighed 19 pounds, 12 ounces on 1/7/13

- eats 3 meals a day with snacks and bottles in between

- will drink cow's milk from a sippy cup but prefers water

-favorite food at the moment: tangerines

10 Month Post

I really do need to be better about her monthly updates. She turned 10 months on December 15th. She is now 10 and half months. I look at her every day and think, "Where did my little baby go?" She is becoming more of a little girl and less of our little infant. Here is what she is up to:

She is becoming less of a picky eater, thank God!

Her favorite foods:

bananas (still)

yogurt- any kind

turkey deli meat

baby goldfish

plain cheerios

water

Chick-Fila nuggets and lemonade (like her mama)

any of the fruit or vegetable pouches- I almost gave up on these but as soon as she started feeding them to herself, she just devours them

pasta

most fruits and is coming around with the veggies

Favorite activities:

dinner and bath time- never thought dinner would ever be considered a favorite

Little Gym class- she just hauls it all over the gym. She is becoming quite the little independent explorer

wagon rides

singing songs

playing with all of her new toys

swinging

playing peek a boo and hide and go seek

riding on dadda's shoulders

touching the chandelier in her room

eating at restaurants and watching other kids

clapping her hands together

Yo Gabba Gabba and the Chica Show

Things she can do:

pull up onto anything

walk with assistance or holding onto things

can hold her own food pouches and feed herself

She holds her own bottle and feeds herself (most of the time)

walk behind her walker toys

can get herself down off of her new chair

can climb up stairs

I will try and be on time with my next post. I think that needs to be one of my resolutions....10 month pictures will be up soon!
