4 Months!

We went to the pediatrician this morning. I think she knew what was coming because she was very unhappy the entire visit which isn't like her at all. She is usually fool of cute coos, giggles and smiles. She is better now that we are at home and we have had a nap. Dr. McClard said that she looked great. She also told us that she prefers for her patients to wait until they are 5 and half months to start rice cereal and solids. That is totally fine with me! I will post her 4 month pics later. Here are her stats:

Weight: 14 lbs, 5 ounces- 70th percentile (wait, where did that come from?!?!)
Length: 24 inches- 40th percentile
Head: 16 inches- 40th percentile

She is one growing girl!

We took this pic yesterday of our cute little class. There are only 4 infants to a class which is really nice. We will attend this class until the beginning of August.

She turned 4 months last Friday. We have her doctor's appointment this Friday. I will post more about our little muffin after that.

Correction

What we thought was minimal damage to the house turned into a new roof, gutters and some painting! We are still waiting for the insurance appraisers to come out. What a week....

Lastnight's Hail Storm

Geez! We had a crazy evening here in Dallas. I left the house at 6:20 to go to hot yoga down the street. At 6:40, about 10 minutes into yoga, I could hear rain and then hail pounding the roof. After a few minutes, the hail got bigger and the skylights of the yoga studio came crashing down. I decided that it was not a safe place. I went to get in the car and saw total destruction. Windshield and back window broken out, side mirror broken and every panel in the car completely covered with large dents. It was almost impossible for me to drive home but I knew I needed to get the car in the garage to prevent even more damage. I got home and realized that I had sat in glass and I was cut up. We found minimal damage to the house. Our gutters are really dented and we don't know about the roof yet. I am just glad we are all safe. Here are a couple of pictures:

Play Wisely

Katherine Grace started her very first class today. It is a class designed specifically for 4- 8 month olds. The class is called, "Play Wisely." It is a developmental play system for babies and toddlers designed to engage each child's natural ability to learn and move through each stage of development. We started the class out with flash cards to practice tracking. We then did some baby massage, some songs and then the did some rotations that involved her playing with different types, textures and sizes of balls. It was so fun, she loved it. She was cooing the entire time. We did it with a couple of friends which made it even more fun. We can't wait for next week. Here are some pictures that I took. Toys

We are very into our toys right now. Can you tell? I think she might be a hoarder:)

Walks

Katherine Grace loves taking walks. We take a walk every evening. We have now put the "big girl"top on it. Here is a picture of her from earlier today. God is good!
