20 Months

Katherine Grace turned 20 months today. I think it feels like she is really close to being 2 or 24 months old... which is really crazy to me because I feel like she was born last week. We have been really busy with playdates, being sick, the Little Gym, the pumpkin patch at the Dallas Arboretum, playing at the park and Texas OU weekend. I can't believe it is already mid- October.

Katherine Grace has really turned a corner with her verbal skills. She is putting together words to make phrases and is learning more and more words everyday. She has become quite the little parrot with her repeating what we say, we have to be so careful! She has also given up the pacifiers during all non- sleep times. So, she basically gets them at nap and bedtime and that is it. She has done pretty well with it and hopefully some time in the future we can get rid of them all together. Her favorite things right now are:

fresh cut up mangos, pancakes, slides and swings, caring for her babydoll, the dogs, her Dadda,
my jewelry, coloring and her Little people toys. She is also obsessed with tools. If we go somewhere that has a toy set, you will know where you can find her. She is also trying to climb out of her crib. We were hoping to wait to transition her to a big girl bed around her 2nd birthday but I am not sure if we will make it that long!

Here are some photos!

19 Months

Katherine Grace turned 19 months on 9/15. She is totally digging this big girl thing. She is obsessed with taking care of her baby doll, walking her, wrapping her up in blankets and putting her to bed. It is the cutest thing ever to watch. She has given up her pacis during the day and she seems to be doing ok with it. She is taking one afternoon nap and sleeps 12-14
hours at night. She is now saying multiple words in a row and is putting together phrases. Katherine Grace is getting some more teeth, she currently has 12 and I think she is working on her canine teeth. We started to go back to the Little Gym once a week. I think she loves it even more. I didn't think that was possible! We also have lots of play dates and fun at the Bake&play cafe. Which is basically an indoor playground and toy area. We are having lots of fun!

17 Months

17 Months- July 15, 2013

Katherine Grace is eating a lot better!
Food favorites: whole strawberries, veggie sticks, bananas, turkey dogs, turkey deli meat, orange juice, mini corn dogs, lemonade, goldfish crackers, TCBY frizen yogurt, refried beans and most importantly popcorn.

She is running everywhere, jumping,  loves to go to the park and go down the slide by herself. She has mastered small amounts of stairs,  she plays her piano, dances to music, pick out books to read and throws away things in the trash. She loves to go swimming,  play with balloons, flush the toilet, play in her playhouse (thank you Jacquelyn and Juliette Grace), play with her fisher price teapot, help with cleaning around the house, chasing Mya and riding Maggie. She blows kisses, waves bye, bye. Will put herself to bed by getting her lovies, saying night night and going to her room. She is almost transitioned into 1 afternoon nap,  eats all solids and won't even eat the baby food pouches anymore

Katherine Grace's words: nana for banana, no, yes, please (tease), dog, mama, dada, hi, hello, all done and ball and she makes all sorts of animals sounds.
