19 Months

 Katherine Grace turned 19 months on 9/15. She is totally digging this big girl thing. She is obsessed with taking care of her baby doll, walking her, wrapping her up in blankets and putting her to bed. It is the cutest thing ever to watch. She has given up her pacis during the day and she seems to be doing ok with it. She is taking one afternoon nap and sleeps 12-14

hours at night. She is now saying multiple words in a row and is putting together phrases. Katherine Grace is getting some more teeth, she currently has 12 and I think she is working on her canine teeth. We started to go back to the Little Gym once a week. I think she loves it even more. I didn't think that was possible! We also have lots of play dates and fun at the Bake&play cafe. Which is basically an indoor playground and toy area. We are having lots of fun! 

18 months! (8/15/13)

I feel like this is a big milestone! She is a year and a half.

She is:
-cutting molars at the moment. She has cut 4 in the last couple of weeks.
- saying lots of words and phrases. New ones lately: "nose, down, bye bye Dadda, ok?  Where did it go? Wow and Whoa!  Here it is!"
- loves to color
- loves to talk on our phones and say bye, bye and hang up on the person I am talking to
- go bye bye in the car- it doesn't matter where we are going, she wants to go!!!!
- can go and get her shoes and bring them to me to put them on

- loves to play chase or hide and go seek
-is obsessed with strawberries and dancing.

Stats:

23 pounds 13 ounces - 45th percentile 

33 inches tall- 85th percentile 

17 Months

17 Months- July 15, 2013 

Katherine Grace is eating a lot better!

Food favorites: whole strawberries, veggie sticks, bananas, turkey dogs, turkey deli meat, orange juice, mini corn dogs, lemonade, goldfish crackers, TCBY frizen yogurt, refried beans and most importantly popcorn.

She is running everywhere, jumping,  loves to go to the park and go down the slide by herself. She has mastered small amounts of stairs,  she plays her piano, dances to music, pick out books to read and throws away things in the trash. She loves to go swimming,  play with balloons, flush the toilet, play in her playhouse (thank you Jacquelyn and Juliette Grace), play with her fisher price teapot, help with cleaning around the house, chasing Mya and riding Maggie. She blows kisses, waves bye, bye. Will put herself to bed by getting her lovies, saying night night and going to her room. She is almost transitioned into 1 afternoon nap,  eats all solids and won't even eat the baby food pouches anymore

Katherine Grace's words: nana for banana, no, yes, please (tease), dog, mama, dada, hi, hello, all done and ball and she makes all sorts of animals sounds.

Fun Times at the Lake

From July 1st (I don't know why it never published) 

 I took Katherine Grace out to my parent's lake house over the weekend. Austin was busy working so we decided to head out for some fun at the lake. K.G got to take her first boat ride. She liked it until my dad (Gumby), decided to go fast. She wasn't a fan of the wind in her face and the wind blowing her hair around. She is like her mama. I like to just cruise and watch the other boats and look at the houses around us. She also got to run in their big yard, play in her baby pool and feed the ducks and catfish. It was a nice escape from the city and a good chance to spend time with my parents and my sister. It was a great time had by all. We are planning to go back again soon with Austin this time, hopefully!

16 Months

Katherine Grace turned 16 months on Saturday. There isn't a whole lot that this little girl isn't doing!
She is one little busy body and keeps us on our toes.

She is:

- Still taking 2 naps about half the time and the other time she naps for 2.5- 3 hours in the afternoon
-Loves the park, especially the slide
- Can get up on our small slide in the backyard and go down all by herself
- Is still a very picky eater but loves: Danimals yogurt, goldfish, milk, orange juice, rice, beans, animal crackers and chicken nuggets.
- Loves to play with stuffed animals and her baby doll
- Is obsessed with Mya. She chases her and feeds her goldfish.
- She is full out running everywhere. Who needs to walk when you can run?
- Loves playing in the pool and floating around with us
- Has become quite the artist with coloring and painting.
- Still has her lovies and pacifiers
- Can finally where pigtails
- Puts herself to bed by grabbing all of her lovies, saying night, night and going to her crib
-Is learning to go down stairs
-Loves to drink out of cups with straws
- Still loves bath time
