Walks

Katherine Grace loves taking walks. We take a walk every evening. We have now put the "big girl"top on it. Here is a picture of her from earlier today. God is good!

3 Months

On Tuesday,  Katherine Grace turned 3 months old. She has really changed over the past few weeks. She is smiling, laughing and cooing a ton. She is sitting up in her Bumbo chair and rolling over from her stomach to her back. We went to the pediatrician about 2 weeks ago and then she weighed about 11.5 pounds. We won't go again until she turns 4 months. Her favorite activities right now are: walks, being on her play mat (on her back), standing with assistance on your lap and her playing in her jumperoo. She is still too short for her jumperoo so we have a fat book underneath it for her to stand on. She has started to drool a ton and put her hands in her mouth which tells me that she might have some teeth coming in. She is getting so big! Here are some pictures.

Exciting News!

Austin and I have decided that the best place for me next year will be at home with Katherine Grace. This was the hardest decision that I have ever had to make but I know it is for the best. I have been going back and forth for months with this decision and praying that somehow I could develop super powers to be in 2 places at the same time. Well, I wasn't able to develop those powers so I went with what I knew I wouldn't regret. I love my job, my coworkers, my school and the kiddos there. I know that I can do a better job than anyone else and the first year of her life is so precious and full of huge developmental milestones. I am going to be really sad especially next school year but I know that is what God had planned for us. I am so thankful that this is an option for all of us.

Sip and See

I have been slacking on the blog writing and I apologize. These last 2 weeks have been absolutely crazy. We had out of town guests, a trip to Fort Worth, her sip and see party, we threw a Cinco De Mayo party yesterday and I return to work tomorrow! Here are some pictures from her sip and see. It was so precious. It was mainly my mom's friends. It was so cute to watch all of the experienced moms, grandmothers and even great grandmothers interact with her. She was so good and never got upset. I know she was overstimulated and exhausted by the end. They even had a "Katherine Grace cocktail." It consisted of vodka, champagne and some other goodies. Everyone agrees that I need to keep the recipe and serve it at her wedding. I think that is a great idea! Here are some pictures. Please pray for me and Katherine Grace tomorrow. I know she will be okay with the sweet lady that is keeping her but I need some extra strength and tissues:(
