Friday in Fort Worth

Last Friday I took Katherine Grace to Fort Worth. We had lunch with my mom, My grandmother and my sis dropped by for a bit. It was very special to have 4 generations of my family together at once. It was so fun and Katherine Grace loved all of the attention and kisses!

New Roof

We had our new roof put on yesterday so that meant Katherine Grace and I had to evacuate the premises for the day. We went over to my friend, Melissa's for an all day play date. She was so sweet to put up with us. We had a great time and it was so cute to watch the kiddos interact with each other more. Thanks again Melissa, Logan & Cade! We love you guys:)

5 Months!

Here is what our sweet girl is up to these days:
-Almost sits up on her own. Still needs some support
-She holds her bottle while eating
-Ooching or scooting on belly. She looks like an inchworm:)
- Can hold and move objects with both hands and bring it to mouth and bang them on things
-Grabs feet and plays with them
-Rolls from back to front
- on a 4 hour eating schedule
-Just started rice cereal with some baby food mixed in. She loves bananas!
-Tries to hold the spoon while eating
- Still loves her pacifier- can sometimes put it back in her mouth
- Loves her "kitty" lovie
-Is very interested and curious about real food
-Is very vocal- squeals, coos, laughs and spits/blows raspberries. Can make some basic sounds but no real words yet.
- is chewing and putting everything in her mouth
-Loves to splash in water but not a fan of big swimming pools yet
- Still in 3-6 month clothes and size 1 diapers.
- Is sleeping 12 hours at night and gets 2-3 naps a day

Favorite activities: spitting, eating bananas and rice cereal, watching Maggie, standing, watching is clap our hands, touching our faces, Yo Gabba Gabba, her play mat and playing in her exersaucer!

She is such a sweetheart, we are very lucky:) Here are some random pics from my Iphone:

Surgery

My surgery went well yesterday. I am at home recovering. I will update more later.

5 Month Pics!

Play date with Paige and Piper

Last Friday, Paige and Piper came over to play. It was so fun. It was great to watch Piper run around and chase (Maggie). It was especially nice to catch up with Paige and see how Piper interacted with Katherine Grace. Piper was so sweet to her, melts my heart.

Rice Cereal

This morning we started Katherine Grace on rice cereal. She wasn't a fan at all. The last couple of bites we made a game out of and she seemed to actually swallow part of those bites. We will try again tomorrow and keep on practicing with the spoon.
